Applying a pressure bandage to a bleeding wound

Apply a quick wound dressing to the wound.

Wrap the cohesive bandage as much as possible in an “overlapping” way, with each turn partially covering the previous one. Pull the bandage slightly tight, but not too tight.

Apply the final turn around.

Tear the cohesive bandage by hand. Note: Because the cohesive bandage is self-adhesive, no other aids are needed to secure it.

Tip! Always bandage towards the heart or the torso.

Note! Do not apply the cohesive bandage too tightly, as it may constrict. Therefore, unroll a little of the cohesive bandage before applying, to ensure you can apply pressure properly. If you do not unroll it first, you may apply it too tightly.
A too tightly applied bandage can be recognized by:
– Discoloration of the extremities;
– Increased pain;
– Tingling or numbness in the extremities;
– Reduced ability to move the extremities.
