HeltiQ Gauze Pad HeltiQ Gauze Pad is a woven sterile gauze suitable for cleaning the skin around the wound, cleaning instruments or covering small cuts. For pre-cleaning the wound, you can use the HeltiQ Gauze Pad in combination with a wound disinfectant. Throw away the gauze pad after cleaning and use a new gauze pad to cover a small cut. For covering larger cuts or small and large grazes and burns, use a HeltiQ Non-Adherent Wound Dressing. The HeltiQ Gauze Pad is a sterile product. Because you place the gauze pad directly from the packaging sterile onto the cut, it provides initial protection against dirt, moisture and bacteria. For a small cut, fix the gauze pad with a HeltiQ Elastic Fixation Bandage or a HeltiQ Self-Adhesive Fixation Bandage and secure it with a HeltiQ Adhesive Plaster. For a large cut or small and large grazes or burns, always use a non-adherent wound dressing and not a gauze pad. This product is a medical device.
