Dettol skin spray cleans and disinfects small wounds.

  • The wound spray is quick and easy to use.
  • Dettol Med Benzalkonium Chloride 2 mg/g skin spray must not be used more than once within 24 hours. Always read the leaflet before use.
  • Dosage for adults and children over 6 years: spray one full dose (1 to 2 sprays) once onto each wound and allow to act for five minutes.
  • If necessary, use a clean cloth or gauze to wipe away excess liquid.
  • For children aged 1 to 6 years: ask a pharmacist or another healthcare professional for advice before use if you have any concerns.
  • Spray once (1 spray) onto each wound (may be applied to a maximum of 4 wounds at one time) and allow to act for five minutes.
  • If necessary, use a clean cloth or gauze to wipe away excess liquid.

Spray once from a distance of 4–15 cm onto each wound, do not inhale. Allow to act for 5 minutes; excess liquid can be wiped away with a clean cloth or gauze. For children aged 1 to 6 years, apply to a maximum of 4 wounds at one time. Soap may inactivate the spray; therefore do not use soap to clean the wound at the same time. The spray may be reapplied if the wound reopens. Do not use more than once per 24 hours and not longer than 3 to 5 days.
